Rivers are natural flows of water. Water in rivers and lakes is fresh, while sea water is salty.
Rivers have three main parts:
- Upper course (mountains). It starts in the source. It's the part of the river which shows the less curves.
- Middle course (plains). There are many curves called meanders. Tributaries reach the main river and become one with it.
- Lower course (coast). The curves get bigger and deeper. The river reaches the sea becoming wide, like a mouth.
There are many rivers in Spain. In this Unit, we'll learn about the most important ones.
